
Mr. Lee
A. Egerman was born in Los Angeles in 1971. Mr. Egerman
graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 with a B.A. in
American History with Cum Laude Honors. Mr. Egerman was elected by
the student body as one of twenty-five at large representatives in
the University of Pennsylvania Student Government. While serving in
student government, Mr. Egerman was Chairman of the Physical Plant
Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Safety Committee. Mr. Egerman
also served as a volunteer for the Make a Wish Foundation, Penn
Annual Giving and the U.J.A.
After
graduating the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Egerman worked
through Teach for America and then taught as a Second Grade Teacher
at International Children’s School, a private school designed to
serve poorer communities. In this capacity he taught reading, math,
science, social studies, and art and organized the educational
curriculum in conjunction with the school’s administration. In
addition, he was responsible for organizing and coaching the Pee-Wee
and junior basketball leagues.
After
teaching, Mr. Egerman attended the Columbia University School of Law
and graduated in 1997. During Law School, Mr. Egerman was a member
of the Unemployment Action Committee and the Columbia Business Law
Review. During his first summer, Mr. Egerman worked at the Los
Angeles City Attorney’s Office where his responsibilities included
acting as a "second chair", reviewing police reports,
recommending plea offers, assisting in voir dire, preparing
witnesses for trial, and planning trial strategy. During law school,
Mr. Egerman also worked at the Manhattan District Attorney’s
Office. While working there, Mr. Egerman’s responsibilities
included: trial preparation, legal research, interviewing and
preparing police officers and witnesses for trial, and compiling and
evaluating evidence.
During his
second summer and after graduating Law School, Mr. Egerman worked as
an associate at Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro. While there,
Mr. Egerman worked on a varied set of legal issues that included
cases involving copyrights, trademarks, commercial litigation, real
property, construction, contracts and labor issues.
In
September of 1998, Mr. Egerman came to the law firm of Egerman &
Brown, LLP. His practice is focused on business litigation.
