Alison is ambitious and hardworking; diligent and meticulous; and passionate about pursuing justice. She is always willing to tackle perplexing challenges to zealously advocate for her clients, and she brings a creative and enthusiastic approach to all that she does.

Education.

Alison graduated summa cum laude from UNC Greensboro in 2017 with a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in American Sign Language. In 2019, she graduated from NC State University with her M.A. in English with a concentration in linguistics, and in 2023, she graduated Campbell University School of Law with her J.D.

In law school, Alison was the Chief Bluebook Editor of the Campbell Law Review; the Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association; an ex officio student member of the Committee on Community, Diversity, and Student Life; and a member of Women in Law.  

Experience.

Alison’s law school career has spanned numerous roles. She spent her 1L summer with Kurtz & Blum, a criminal defense firm, where she had the privilege of acting as the second chair for a week-long jury trial. She spent her 2L summer with the Miller Law Group, a plaintiff’s personal injury firm, where she gained valuable hands-on experience with personal injury suits, wrongful death suits, and qui tam suits. She also spent a semester interning for the Honorable Judge Julie Bell in Wake County Family Court.

She is excited to begin her legal career at Edwards Beightol.   

Personal. 

Alison was born in Seoul, South Korea, but raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is a Lord of the Rings and Doctor Who fanatic, a music enthusiast, a lover of sour green apple candy, and a linguaphile. (Alison is fluent in English and has a limited working proficiency in American Sign Language, Korean, and Spanish.) In her spare time, she enjoys riding dirt bikes with her husband and playing with her two sons and two cats.
